Description
"Blue I" is a work by the Catalan artist Joan Miró, created in 1961. It is the first in a series of three large canvases, all titled "Blue." Miró uses a deep blue background to create an infinite space populated by floating shapes and mysterious signs. The organic forms and undulating lines evoke images of nature, while stars and geometric shapes suggest a cosmic universe.

The work is characterized by a sense of freedom and lightness, as if the elements were free to move in space.
The dominant blue gives an impression of calm and serenity. Miró often used blue to symbolize dreams and the unconscious. In "Blue I," he explores these themes with a visual poetry that invites contemplation and personal interpretation. Each viewer can find their own meanings, making "Blue I" a work that is both universal and deeply personal.
